I would like to start using My Journal again, but cant access the program. I moved back from Windows 10 to Windows 7 and I seem to have lost the original download, but I do have files for my entries that I cannot access.
No, you can't eliminate those requirements, because the application is developed to be used by many users. I suggest you enter your Username and Password and check the remember login box. This way, every time you run the application you can open your profile using only the Login button.
I created a test profile and I no longer need it. I removed the test folder from the Profiles directory, but the name of the test profile still appears on the profile list on the log in page. How can I remove this?

Open the application and press the Delete button next to the Update option. Enter the profile Username and Password, type please delete this profile in the Confirmation phrase field and press Delete. If this doesn't work, try to completely uninstall the application using Add or Remove Programs Feature:
If you use Windows XP or bellow you can go to Start > Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs. In the Currently installed programs box, click on the My Journal program and then click Remove. If you have Windows Vista or above you need to go to Start > Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features. Select the My Journal application and click on Uninstall.
After that, run AdwCleaner 2-3 times in a row to make sure that there are no leftover rogue registry keys in your system. You can download and install a new copy of the software from the official web page.
